Olbermann & Garofalo make racist comments on MSNBC
According to Keith Olbermann & Janine Garofalo if a black person chooses not to be a Democrat they suffer from a mental disorder. Let’s see, creating a stereotype about an entire race of people and applying it to say any member of that race who is not following the stewreotype must have a mental disorder or be a “self-loather” as they called him because he rejects the stereotype, oh yeah we call that racism.
GAROFALO, REFERRING TO DARYN KAGAN: She dated him, so either she suffers from Stockholm Syndrome – a lot like Michael Steele, who’s the black guy in the Republican party who suffers from Stockholm Syndrome, which means you try and curry favor with the oppressor.
OLBERMANN: Yes, you talk about self-loathing.
GAROFALO: Yeah, and there’s, any female or person of color in the Republican party is struggling with Stockholm Syndrome.
But this is the Democratic way way some on the left think. Most Republicans believe black people are 100% equal and as important as anyone else on the planet. No special treatment, no coddling, no telling black people what they must think or how they must live because of their race, we don’t walk around declaring that SOME black people are not BLACK ENOUGH because they don’t fit into some warped vision where all black people must dance, play basketball and love rap music, no we believe every black person is born with the same god-given liberties as everyone else and like the rest of us have the same chance to succeed or fail based on their own actions and self-determination.
That is why the very first Republican President took our nation to War to remove enslavement.
Olbermann & Garafalo and those like them make me sick. They believe minority voters and women must be trapped inside a liberal cage. They talk about “rights” until people disagree with their view of life. So Michael Steele MUST be an uncle tom “self-loather” because he believes in the Constitution and family values; Sarah Palin MUST be a terrible hate-monger because she believes human life must be respected.
This kind of racist, sexist inequality has absolutely no place in our society. The only thing I will give both is that they are honest enough to talk openly about their bigoted ideas.

Just as Olbermann and Garafalo were generalizing, I'd caution against bundling their views and actions as the “Democratic way”. All Democrats and liberals do not share their viewpoints.
Olbermann can be on the fringe at times, and his show was an indulgence of mine because I happen to agree with most of his politics. That, and it's a free subscription in iTunes.
I agree that this kind of talk has no place in society, and thanks for calling them out on it. We should all do this regardless of which side the politics falls.
I'll be unsubscribing from his show.

I admit when I am wrong & you are right I was heated & should not have labeled all Dems as thinking this way. Glad you are taking action by not watching anymore. If I hear the same from a Con I will call them out on it!

I am Black and Republican and I get this all the time. People are visibly shocked when I tell them I don't like B.O. How could I not? He's a mulatto-like me! Yeah….and? I am supposed to love every person who shares my skin color-are you kidding me? The guy is dense! He would have to be to facilitate a 787 billion dollar stimulus package, to pick cabinet members who continually are being brought up on some charge or another, to vote for infanticide 4 times, but because he is black I am supposed to think he is a swell guy. Get over yourself Jeanine! I have my own mind and I base my decisions on the content of the person's character, not the color of their skin! And like my blog says I am Black N Right-deal with it!
Proud to be a conservative Republican. And I just want you guys to know the most decent, honorable people I have ever met in my life have all been conservative. God bless each and every one of you.

Janine Garafalo, is a nut case! She herself doesn't know Her history!! No I did not vote for Barack Obama, simply because he couldn't define the “Change” he was speaking of ! Obama was for “Change” and wouldn't clarify what he meant, therfore, he was essentially using Bill Clinton's evasiveness. It depents on what the deffinition of what IS, IS!! Oh Man, Have I had it wth these Liberial Nut Cases! I challenge You to experience what True Racism was!! You have no clue and are about as ingnorant as they come!! I was there, little girl, I know!! I happened to have resigned from being a Democrate, because of that phrase and Bill Clinton's repulsive behavior in the White House!! Janine, Growup! You don't make an ounce of common since!! The Democrats used to be for the working man, well they have changed places with the Republicans on that format. J.G. is just a frustrated, angry failed actress and “talk show” hostess who is totally clueless when it comes to world politics or common sense and decency! Maybe she can pursue modeling? Too bad Fox is trying to help her salvage her career with a meanlingless part on 24…I'll have to start ignoring her one line a week! She and Olbermann (who all Fox News hosts crush in the ratings on a nightly basis) are arrogant and ingnorant- a dangerous combo! Less than 2 years until the pendulum swings back to the side of patriotic sanity!

I don't have Stockholm Syndrome. I'm not on welfare. I don't drink Malt Liqour. I don't drive a Cadillac. I don't really like Chicken. I'm not a Democrat. I don't support a welfare state. I don't have sagging pants. I can''t rap. I can't sing. I don't do or sell drugs. I do love my people except the stupid ones. I do like basketball. I like watermelon especially on hot summer days. I am spiritual and believe in god. I admire all sexy women, not just white ones. I love my kids. I own a business. I pay taxes. I go to teaparties. I am an American. I am black. I am conservative. I have that right at least for now.
