Roaring Republican is a site devoted to politics of the conservative persuasion written by Jeff Commaroto.

This site is devoted to both larger national issues and the politics of Western, New York. In March 2009 the site added a weekly podcast, Roaring Radio, where Jeff talks to conservatives about technology, the news and the current state of politics.

About Jeff

In addition to this site I also run the Web sites Election Geek and 26th District devoted to New York State’s 26th Congressional District.

I have been creating sites since the mid 90’s (back then I was a much more liberal person) but in recent years haven’t had a space to discuss my evolving conservative beliefs. I started writing about my own personal journey into conservative politics for the site with the post Coming to Conservatism.

From 2004 through 2008 I helped run and eventually managed a National Science Foundation grant; the grant worked with a local urban and a local suburban school district as well as a higher education institution focusing on the emerging field of Computational Science bringing computer simulation and visualization to middle and high schools.

Before this time I earned both a Bachelor of Science & Master of Arts degree in Communications focusing on the study of rhetoric as well as political & organizational communication. I also worked on a political campaign for the other side (sorry!) and spent a lot of time learning about technology.

On a personal note I married my beautiful and very loving wife in Fall 2007 and became a homeowner in 2008.
