A lot of Americans, like myself, became disillusioned with our country we all love over the past 8 years. Not because of any one man, but because of the attitudes and deeds that were carried out that some of us don't associate with being an American. What some of us see in Obama is a potential return to the principles that we hold dear, and I think that is why you see such enthusiasm for him. We're lucky that Obama knows full well that "we are a nation more than a man". By rooting for our new president, we are in essence rooting for our country, and that makes me a proud patriot.
