- Brits are expressing discontent over President Obama’s perceived “rude” treatment of their Prime Minister during his visit to the Oval Office yesterday. The WH had cancelled a joint press conference because of “snow” and then after outrage rescheduled a small appearance with the two taking questions while seated. Brown’s wife Sarah was kept from meeting the President meeting with Michelle Obama.

All of this could be seen as trivial if not for two years of candidate Obama and candidate Clinton repeatedly promoting their skills at building relationships with allies they perceived as “snubbed” by the Bush administration. Obama repeatedly promised he would take leadership and “rebuild alliances” but chose to depart from the Bush administrations early and unwavering embrace of Tony Blair and our British global alliance.
I guess Obama’s “change” is not just going to be a bungling of our economy but also our foreign affairs.
