Reportedly President Obama wants Congress to revive pay-as-you-go rules from the 1990′s requiring tax cuts or new entitlement spending must be paid for through either budget cuts or new taxes. The problem? This comes AFTER Obama added $1.8 Trillion dollars of new spending in his first four months. The other problem? It would not effect Obama’s massive plans for health care allowed to run massive deficits and exempting a projected $2.5 trillion in new spending.
So in short, everything that Obama wants doesn’t need to be paid for. Everything Congress wants needs to be paid for.
