Today former Governor Tim Pawlenty announced he was forming a presidential exploratory committee, the initial step in launching a bid for the Republican Party nomination and the White House. He also launched a video on Facebook, yet another now typical sign of starting a candidacy.

I like Pawlenty, he seems like a nice guy. I don’t know that many people know who he is and his less than stellar, ok downright hideous book sales of Courage to Stand, show he hasn’t made much headway. Still, good for him for being the first. 2012 is a long way off, so anything is possible.
