No one knows if Donald Trump really will run in the 2012 Republican Primary or if this is all just a show not but one of the main arguments against is the reality of financial disclosure. Trump makes a living claiming to be the greatest business man there is and he does so without being specific about actual worth. A candidate for president has to open up their books to the public and in doing Trump will expose what his prowess really is. That could be good or bad depending on what is there. Regardless it will lay bare numbers that can be scrutinized by the media and business foes.
CNN Is reporting Trump claims to already have a team working on his financial disclosure. It could be a sign he is running, it could be one more example of the Apprentice star making things up on the spot. I highly doubt when he said recently he had sent investigators into Hawaii to look for records of Obama’s birth that he was telling the truth. I also doubt other statements, like his claimed policy of “just take the oil from them” on Libya and Iraq, represents an honest assessment of world affairs. I guess we will just have to wait and see if this is all a sideshow, a coming attraction or the Republican Party being punked.
