Wash Post Reports: Massa under investigation for allegedly groping male staffers

Former Rep. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.) has been under investigation for allegations that he groped multiple male staffers working in his office, according to three sources familiar with the probe.

The allegations surrounding the former lawmaker date back at least a year, and involve “a pattern of behavior and physical harassment,” according to one source. The new claims of alleged groping contradict statements by Massa, who resigned his office on Monday after it became public that he was the subject of a House ethics committee investigation for possible harassment.

I can say that local media are finally talking and noting that rumors of potential inappropriate conduct between Massa and male staff are not new, but because they were unsubstantiated they were not reported previously. Reminder Massa is appearing on Glenn Beck’s FOX News program tonight. Look for him to continue unloading on Democratic leaders and as he does, for more information to suddenly start leaking!

Eric Massa Either Hit Reality or Crazyville

Eric Massa is resigningRepresentative Eric Massa, who announced his resignation amid what could be a growing sexual harassment scandal, is now claiming he was ousted by his own Party to pass healthcare. Best of all he is attacking Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, describing an odd nude shower scene, claiming Rahm is the son of the devil and saying the Chicago political hit-man would lay his own children down in front of a locomotive to pass health care reform.

Mass is also calling Democrat Leader Hoyer.

From Roll Call:

In a statement released Wednesday, Hoyer’s office said the Maryland lawmaker was alerted to the allegations against Massa in early February by his staff. The statement said Hoyer gave Massa or his office 48 hours to report the complaint to the ethics panel or threatened to do so himself.

“Steny Hoyer has never said a single word to me, at all, ever, not once. Not a word. This is a lie. It’s a blatant, false statement,” Massa said.

What in the hell weird planet are the Democrats living off of? If Massa’s odd rants have reality behind them, wow. If they don’t, wow. Either way, this is a massive mess for the Democrat Party, Massa and the White House!

Good Riddance Eric Massa & BTW What the Hell Are You Saying Anyway?

Eric Massa is resigningI have to say for a guy claiming he just used some “salty” language, he sure is racing out of town fast. For those who don’t live around here, Massa spent years trying for this seat. You know that old saying,”Where there’s smoke?”

From Massa:

“I own this reality. There is no doubt in my mind that I did in fact, use language in the privacy of my own home and in my inner office that, after 24 years in the Navy, might make a Chief Petty Officer feel uncomfortable. In fact, there is no doubt that this Ethics issue is my fault and mine alone. But in the incredibly toxic atmosphere that is Washington D.C., with the destruction of our elected leaders having become a blood sport, especially in talk radio and on the internet, there is also no doubt that an Ethics investigation would tear my family and my staff apart. Some would say that this is what happens when you stand apart from political parties, which I have done. Others will say that this is what happens to a non politician when they go to Washington DC. I want to make something perfectly clear. My difficulties are of my own making. Period. I am also aware that blogs and radio will have a field day with this in today’s destructive and unforgiving political environment. In that investigators would be free to ask anything about me going back to my birth, I simply cannot rise to that level of perfection. God knows that I am a deeply flawed and imperfect person.”

“During long car rides, in the early hours of the evening, late at night and always in private, I know that my own language failed to meet the standards that I set for all around me and myself. I fell short and I believe now, as I have always believed, that it is not enough to simply talk the talk, but rather I must take action to hold myself accountable.”

What in the heck kind of language is he using in long car rides home that would constitute sexual harassment? I mean, I have about the foulest mouth in private you can imagine. Yet I have never said anything a man, even a gay man, could construe as sexual harassment. Women definitely, men, no way! What in the world is up with this guy?

I can think of some hate speech examples, but sexual harassment? Really Congressman, just what are you talking about with your “salty Navy language” late at night in those car rides?

Charlie Rangel Drops it Like It’s Hot

Charlie Rangel is One Corruption Loving DemocratCharlie Rangel is a Cheshire Cat

Ding Dong the Cheshire Cat is Dead… well not dead, just sent packing from his leadership of the House Ways & Means Committee after, you know, years of corruption finally caught up to him.

Another Democrat caught with his hand in the cookie jar or in this case, paw.

Eric Massa Drops Out, Reportedly Likes Sexually Harassing Male Staffer

Congressman Eric Massa Sexually Harassed a Male Staffer According to ReportsI hate Democrat Congressman Eric Massa who represents the 29th district just next to mine here in Western, New York. The only reason he was elected was because the Republican, Randy Kuhl, is insane. No really, Kuhl appears to be certifiably insane and while I would still have voted for him over the certifiably insane Massa if I had a chance, I think the people of the 29th were pretty well given the short end of a dirty stick with their choices.

Luckily Massa just announced he would not be seeking re-election and I say good riddance. The reason Massa is giving up with only a year under his belt? According to reports he sexually harassed a male staffer. So insane and either has a potty mouth or likes to talk dirty to men, it is hard to tell what kind of “harassing” is being alleged here. Regardless, it is fun watching the Democrats implode from their rampant corruption.

Harry Reid’s Racism & More Campaign 2008 Revelations

Cover for book Game ChangeJohn Heilemann and Mark Halperin’s new book Game Change: Obama and the Clintons, McCain and Palin, and the Race of a Lifetime exposing a great deal of insider information about the campaigns. Tidbits from the book are already appearing but so far the BIGGEST revelation comes from embattled Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid who let his inner racism fly when speaking about then candidate Obama.

He was wowed by Obama’s oratorical gifts and believed that the country was ready to embrace a black presidential candidate, especially one such as Obama — a “light-skinned” African American “with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one,” as he said privately.

Reid has since apologized but the already ready to be defeated in 2010 Senator is sure to see the backlash. Let me see though, Don Imus said Nappy Headed Hoes and it started a media explosion thanks to Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. Harry Reid suggests only a “light-skinned” black can be president and speaks of a “Negro dialect” and I have the feeling neither of the usual fear-mongers and shakedown men will show up. I wonder… I really wonder why. Oh wait, no I don’t.

Speaking of the not so racially sensitive comments, check this other revelation out about Obama from none other than Bill Clinton.

[A]s Hillary bungled Caroline, Bill’s handling of Ted was even worse. The day after Iowa, he phoned Kennedy and pressed for an endorsement, making the case for his wife. But Bill then went on, belittling Obama in a manner that deeply offended Kennedy. Recounting the conversation later to a friend, Teddy fumed that Clinton had said, A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee.

Ouch!

Carl Levin & Harry Reid sneak in tax breaks for insurers

From the Washington Times it looks like part of Harry Reid’s last minute revisions include, wait for it, tax breaks for “non-profit insurers.” Oh, well, that sounds nice doesn’t it. If they don’t want profits, they must not be evil. Let’s see, who is a non-profit insurer… hmmm… well… Blue Cross & Blue Shield. Well, they must have only a few sickly poor people under their plans right? Non-profit, that sounds like poor people… their franchise plans cover 100 Million People???? Well… some of those are for-profit franchises, so… must be OK.

Let’s see, who suggested this whole thing anyway. Michigan Senator Carl Levin proposed the breaks? Well, I am also sure it is a coincidence that Blue Cross Blue Shield was Levin’s #1 Contributor in the 2010 & 2008 election cycles… Total coincidence!

I still cannot understand why all these big old insurance companies seem to support the bill. They must know it is a great deal for the American people and are willing to accept less money as long as it means better service for Americans. Yeah, I am sure that is it.

Barbara Boxer: You cannot protest & be well dressed, I say SUIT UP!

Madam Boxer, Senator from the state of California, expressed on Hardball her belief that there is something FISHY about protesters who aren’t dressed like they were in a casting call for the musical Hair. Sorry if we have some self-respect Babs and don’t wake up around 2:00pm, grab the nearest article of clothing off the floor pile and get on the ACORN bus to wherever a snail is being threatened.

Frankly I think everyone on the right should attend protests in suits, dresses or nice clothes of some kind. Show people we mean business and aren’t just a bunch of smelly hippies. Imagine the image of riot police pushing back a bunch of square looking businessmen and women and then tell me society isn’t imploding before your eyes.

The people are PO ma’am Boxer and not because we have to move out of our parents basement, put down the hash-pipe and get a job. Sorry but get used to it.

And in the immortal words of Barney Stinson, SUIT UP!

Obama sends Billions to the areas who supported him

USA Today shows what all of us knew when the stimulus was being written, the money is going disproportionately to those areas of the country that supported Obama.

WASHINGTON — Billions of dollars in federal aid delivered directly to the local level to help revive the economy have gone overwhelmingly to places that supported President Obama in last year’s presidential election.

BUT BUT BUT…

That aid — about $17 billion — is the first piece of the administration’s massive stimulus package that can be tracked locally. Much of it has followed a well-worn path to places that regularly collect a bigger share of federal grants and contracts, guided by formulas that have been in place for decades and leave little room for manipulation.

Counties that supported Obama last year have reaped twice as much money per person from the administration’s $787 billion economic stimulus package as those that voted for his Republican rival, Sen. John McCain, a USA TODAY analysis of government disclosure and accounting records shows. That money includes aid to repair military bases, improve public housing and help students pay for college.

Shocker #2, those areas that receive massive amounts of money from Democrats, vote Democratic. So it makes perfect sense that the areas that already receive massive amounts of government money would be the first to get MORE government money. Not the areas that are suffering and need government money. The areas that already receive it.

BUT BUT BUT

They have the infrastructure to support that money already in place…

Well if the stimulus was to CREATE jobs rather than 100% continue to fund those jobs already funded by the government, wouldn’t you sent it to places that need new infrastructure & jobs? Yeah, of course you would.

Leahy suddenly shocked by his own politics

Today Senator Patrick Leahy of Vermont called attacks on Supreme Court Justice nominee Sonia Sotomayor “unbelievable” adding that the attacks were “among the most vicious attacks that have been received by anybody.”

If one does a quick search of what Leahy had to say just a few short years ago about President Bush’s pick, Samuel Alito, they would find this statement:

This is a nomination that I fear threatens the fundamental rights and liberties of all Americans now and for generations to come.

The statement was made during a long and rambling press eelease in which Leahy decried the President’s reliance on warrant-less wiretapping which he believed was unconstitutional. The Bush administration’s very same arguments, shocker, have been continued by the Obama administration. So, did Leahy ask Sotomayor her thoughts on the subject today? Did her answer make him secure that she wasn’t a raging threat to the nation?

Leahy was also vocal on now Chief Justice John Roberts. Leahy today called out Republican’s attacks on Sotomayor because of a statement she made in which she said a “wise Latina” would of course make better decisions than a lowely white male. A statement that if made by a white person invoking the opposite would immediately disqualify and be held up by the left as racist. It is with no dearth of irony that many on the right, including myself, have invoked the racist moniker for Sotomayor in advance of the cause of equality.

Similarly a previous statement by Roberts had profoundly urked the Senator during his confirmation hearings. Roberts called abortion a “tragedy.” Imagine that, someone believing regardless of the law that killing babies isn’t a wonderful thing that should be celebrated. So how did Leahy react?

Leahy called Roberts “radical” and an “eager, aggressive advocate” of “far right” positions. All because Roberts isn’t personally keen on killing babies. Now that is not at all a “vicious attack” in any way. Why? Because it was made about a Republican and in support of abortion.

After disparaging the nominee Leahy released another rambling press release attacking the Bush administration, only in this one he eventually announced he would vote “yes” for Roberts. I am sure he wasn’t at all playing politics with the nomination.

Those are the modern moments of Leahy. When speaking about “vicious” moments in Supreme Court nomination fights how can we not mention the 1987 Robert Bork hearings?

He voted against William Rehnquist’s elevation to chief justice. And he was a major tormentor of Robert Bork during those awful hearings of 1987. In fact, he was responsible for one of their moments of highest drama. He scolded Bork for doing insufficient charity work while a professor at Yale, and recited the fees he earned as an outside consultant during the years 1979 to 1981. Responded Bork, “Those are the only years I ever made any money in consulting.” He continued, emotional, “There was a reason to get money, and I don’t want to get into it here.” Leahy acknowledged that the judge had his reasons. Then Sen. Gordon Humphrey, a Republican, broke in, saying, “Judge Bork, this is a very personal question, and if you prefer not to answer it, by all means do not-but were those years [ones that] coincided with heavy medical bills in your family?” Bork spoke one syllable: “Yeah.” The bills to which Humphrey had referred were for Bork’s first wife, Claire, who died in December 1980. This was not only a moment of high drama, but one that turned the stomachs of many of those watching.

Nice one Leahy, first attack a nominee for not giving enough to charity and then push him to admit that the money he did have went to medical bills for his now dead wife. Should we push Sotomayor on her charitable giving and where her money goes?

During the confirmation hearings of now Justice Clarence Thomas Leahy used the exact same line of argument he did for Samuel Alito saying “I cannot promise the people of Vermont that I’m sure this nominee will protect their rights.”

So is Leahy losing it or is he truly shocked by his own politics? Neither, what Leahy wants is not a venom free nomination hearing, he wants to get rid of the nomination hearing.

Leahy is pushing for a swift series of hearings on Sotomayor’s confirmation, and has said the harshly worded criticism of her necessitates a quick timetable.

“Swift” of course means a hearing without any real details or opposition. The left is doing all they can to turn Sotomayor into a victim of some terrible injustice, an “underdog” whose nomination has been sullied and should therefore not have to play by the same rules. It is the same old tired left argument.

Leahy’s hypocrisy goes deeper though as the Senator has a long and well documented history of playing nomination games. When his party is in power, he cries fowl over any attempts to slow nominations for careful review. When his party is not in power, he himself uses every available means including the courting of public opinion to obstruct in every way possible those nominees he doesn’t personally like.

Put simply, he plays politics and then whines loudly when others try to enter his sandbox and do the same.
